We the PEOPLE of Redding and Shasta Co. believe that it is the job of our elected officials to provide an appropriate means for all to access their constitutional right to Human Dignity, Safety and the Pursuit of Happiness. The Neurodivergent are a population of the Homeless that do not fit the Cookie Cutter Mold. They have special needs and cannot adapt quickly to change. The Developing Diamonds Community knows their needs and can provide the environment and empowering developmental guidance, starting with a clean, safe and secure camping PARK to launch them on their journey toward transitioning into society, without reverting to old habits.

The current anti-tent and anti-camping ordinances are preventing their path to a better future for ALL.

We ask our Elected Officials to create a new ordinance that allows this new, appropriate form of transitional housing, providing a solution to our mutual Humanitarian Crisis.
