Jan Lopez
Secretary
Throughout the nineteen years I have known Jan, she has impressed me as a consultant, public official, and individual who has proven herself time and again. Jan has established herself as a quick study with an unusual ability to accomplish real, positive results. It is perhaps the blend of her vision and creativity, on the one hand, with her appreciation for the practical and credible, that has enabled her to produce some truly outstanding achievements. Particularly noteworthy is her ability to function in politically charged working environments while retaining the ability to remain objective and demonstrate integrity.”
— Robert Cervantes (Former Division Chief, Office of the Governor, Governor’s Office of Planning and Research)
Using the tools of ethics, reason, and evidence, Jan facilitates “red tape” issues of viable projects into manageable solutions. This is just the type of person you might like to have when dealing with the vagaries of local, state, or federal governmental permits and processes.
Jan has years of progressively developed experience in both the public and private sector, including corporations, industrial manufacturers, colleges, universities, and local governments, before initiating her consultancy in 1984. She has served on numerous public boards and commissions, including service as a city planning commissioner and as secretary of a county grand jury.
For 35 years, she developed a solid reputation for providing quality consulting assistance in rural areas to private individuals, special services districts (fire, water, parks, etc.), cities, counties, and other public and private business clients—using her strong set of skills in research and investigation, interviewing, report writing, systems organization, communications, and problem solving—guiding projects through all phases of development.
When Jan relocated to Shasta County, she continued to work primarily with and for rural communities, individual projects, and public agencies throughout Northern California.
